Medical school interviews can be a complex, frustrating, but still enjoyable experience. Yes, enjoyable!
My medical school interview coaching program is comprehensive, helping you navigate the complex application process successfully with a multi-pronged approach. From assistance with setting up for your interview, mock interviews, collaborative feedback, you and I will cover all areas to ensure you have prepared for success.
I recall how lost I felt at times. New websites, networking, conferences, personal statements, interviews, follow-up e-mails..it was often too much to handle on my own.
My aim is for you to have the same amazing experiences that I did. Let's get started!
Even experts can learn from other experts. Individual tutoring is one of the best ways to quickly and effectively improve your knowledge and test scores. I will tailor sessions directly to your needs to challenge your understanding, strengthen your weaknesses, and improve efficiency. My job is not to give you all the answers but to help you discover the ones that fit your situation. I don't want to make you dependent on me, and instead, I want to help you operate with confidence and vision.
Coaching is conducted online using web conference software (e.g., Zoom or Google). Working online affords enormous flexibility for us to schedule sessions at mutually convenient times. I know you are busy, and I am fortunate that in my 3rd year of residency, I have a bit more time on my hands.
Every student is different and there is no set number of hours that is ideal for all students. I recommend at least 5 hours of tutoring. The best results are commonly occurring between 6 and 15 hours. Even if we only have 1 hour together, I will ensure that it is very productive, enjoyable, and you'll leave with somve clear next steps!
There are rare times when students do not achieve the improvement they seek. Often this occurs when a student has unrealistic goals of what another person can help them accomplish, cannot follow the prescribed study plan, is derailed by personal hardship, or simply lacks the conviction to succeed. I am honest with students upfront about what I think can be accomplished in the time they have to prepare. I do this by setting an agenda and crafting goals that follow the SMART format. I do not shy away from taking on students that are others may have deemed “high risk” and refused to work with. The quality and depth of my program make me confident that I can help at least some of these students.
Please send me a message or set up a call to decide how you'd like to allocate your time! Let me know if you want to focus on mock-interviewing, reviewing your application, or anything in between.
